Lightning Strikes Barns and Cattle in Local Storm
A thunderstorm last Saturday caused fires to two barns near Union with one burning at the Hardy Madden farm. Two cows sheltering under a tree on Roswell Page’s land were killed by lightning near Francisco. Robert Woodburn’s barn in the Fairview church area was struck again but did not burn, marking a third lightning strike on that barn.
