Nanaimo Oct 26 The Grand Jury threw out Rex v Graham and Rex v Tonkin over the South Wellington mine disaster. Chief Inspector Graham and J P Tonkin were indicted for manslaughter but the jury found no sufficient case for trial. London said Marquette torpedoed in the Aegean. 99 crew unaccounted. Turkish transport Carmen sunk in Marmora by British submarine.

Prince George Delayed By Traffic On Southbound Voyage
The G P steamer Prince George left the smelter port late after heavy traffic delayed departure. On the southbound trip she carried eight carloads of frozen fish from the Canadian Fish and Cold Storage Company and a large amount of merchantable freight including drums of distillate. A carload of copper was loaded at the smelter for New York, while northbound freight also delayed her schedule.
