Ottawa approves halibut shipment from Prince Rupert to Seattle via Canadian ports to Vancouver then rail. Traders favor direct steamship to Seattle to cut costs and risk, but plan to push for steamship all the way. Local notices invite piano tuning and watch repairs from Bulger & Denike and Frizzell's.
A City Hall meeting set final plans for Dominion Day events. The Finance Committee reported $175 raised with more donations expected, funds to support field sports advertising a cadet band and prizes. Baseball and field events schedule outlined with a programme of competitions and judges.
W Goldbloom plans to open a city warehouse in Prince Rupert to enable year round fur reception and monthly sales inviting major national buyers. The move aims to rapidly elevate Prince Rupert as a key fur trading center and attract both sellers and buyers to the local market.
The Seattle came in manned by captains from various boats as fishermen held fish for better prices. Highest offer for hali but was 1 2 cents a pound with no sales at that rate. Capt Olson of the Seymour held his 50 000 catch over, followed by the P Gynt skipper with 7 000 pounds. Later the schooner Seattle arrived with 15 000 pounds to be offered today. The Seattle and crew, many tied up at Seattle, joined the voyage to escape the shore life and the Seattle is commanded by Capt Larsen, its owner.
President Wilson sends a note to Mexico refusing to withdraw U S troops and warns that an attack on American forces will bring grave consequences. He accuses General Carranza of edging toward war and failing to protect Americans from lawless elements. Authorities say the next forty eight hours may decide war or peace.

Vancouver Liberal candidate Ralph Smith criticizes H. C. Brewster for an attempt to upset last session's legislation. He says even if legally arguable, the move distracts from public welfare and business of the Legislature and would have accepted concessions to resolve the dispute. Continued on Page Four.
Premier Bowser and party toured the Bulkley valley and Telkwa with Frank Dockrill as Conservative candidate against Alex Manson. Dockrill promotes mining and ranching in Omineca while Bowser touts Conservative governance and criticizes Liberal plans. A Liberal supporter praised Bowser as sincere and businesslike.
