The Hudson's Bay Company steamer Tahltan docked in port, designed for the Stickine River. Capt. Gardiner commands the vessel, which features three rudders and three propellers, carries 25 tons, and uses two 40 hp distillate engines.
Light halibut receipts over the past two days keep prices near eight cents per pound. The Eagle sold 20,000 pounds to the National Independent Fish Company at 7 78 cents.
