Lee Walruth, believed to aid the Great Northern train hold up at Samish, was arrested at Birch Bay by Sheriff Thomas while fleeing toward British Columbia. He reportedly stole a launch from Bellingham and hid on Lummi Island before surrendering the boat to a farmer. McBride to Visit Ottawa for Public Business
