Red Cross Home Cooking Sale Nets 44 Dollars

The Red Cross Society realized 44.35 from a home cooking sale held yesterday in their rooms on Third Avenue. The sale was run by Mrs. W. Manson and Mrs. G. Arnold who thank friends for their many generous donations of cooking. N. J. Alder of Victoria is visiting Prince Rupert on business related to his local property holdings.

G. T. P. will establish a direct steamship connection with Alaska this season. G. A. Mc Nicholl, head of the coast traffic department, confirms the plan though details are not yet finalized. Farmers Along G T P Line Show Strong Farm Institute Interest

North province farmers show greater enthusiasm for the Farmers Institute and demonstration work than southern farmers. T. R. Terry of the Victoria Poultry Department reports strong local interest during a two week tour with S. F. Dunlop, Walker of Telqua, and A W Tomlinson. A grippe illness interrupted plans for a public meeting after the tour.
