Chevrolet gifts aid Preston High with donated damaged vehicles

Chevrolet donates nearly 2000 damaged cars and trucks and engine components to schools including Preston High School to support automotive and vocational training. PHS Parents Meet for High School Planning Discussion

The Preston High School parents gather for a final meeting next Wednesday October 5 at 8 p.m. in the auditorium to hear proposals from the planning committee on school discipline and activities and to vote on possible actions for presentation to the school board. Gene Hawkes chairs the committee and urges full parent attendance to present a unified plan for administrators and the board.

Senior Citizens urged to attend clinic and dinner at Legion Hall

A blood pressure screening clinic is set for October 5 at the American Legion Hall from 1 to 4 p.m. All senior citizens are urged to attend. A senior citizen dinner will follow on Saturday at the same hall with serving beginning at noon.

Woodward wins Citizen football contest with 17 correct
