Franklin County Idaho Board of Commissioners met July 8 1946 in regular session with Chairman I M Evans Commissioners D A Nash and Wallace Olsen and Clerk C L Swenson present Also present were Paul Gordon Weston Henry Ray Barton of the Idaho State Tax Commission and Deputy Assessor W G Palmer The board discussed parallel State equalization efforts and approved cooperation with immediate start George Robertson hired at 18000 per month to work with Mr Seamons on road crew A W Carpenter Preston protested Probate Court conduct Judge Thomas Preston defended duties and proposed appointing Mrs Preston as Probate Clerk without salary Appointment approved Several bills were approved and paid including travel postage office supplies and other expenses The minutes were read and approved and the meeting recessed
