Rites Held Yesterday For Preston Victim Of Auto Accident
Funeral services were held for Vera Jane Jensen Hansen 43 of Preston who died from injuries in a car crash south of Ogden. Born June 5 1909 she taught in Preston Albion State Normal and Ricks College Rexburg. Survived by husband Willard two sons three daughters two sisters and Daughters of Utah Pioneers officer. Willard Hansen remains hospitalized in Ogden in satisfactory condition.

Rumors spread that Preston and nearby county will get television in November. Local stores display sets and plan sales as aerials rise on roofs. A. & S. Furniture Co. shows a large roof aerial, Lowell Smith’s Smith Tractor Service has installed three aerials and expects 12 more next week. Wayland Ewing, ex Phoenix, is the installation expert. Henrietta Hall 78 of Preston died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at her daughter’s Preston home after a three year illness. Born December 24, 1873 in Willard Utah she was the daughter of Edwin H Bronson and Tydia Ann Hole Bronson. She married Joseph H Hall February 8 1891 in Logan and lived in Preston most of her life. Big Fruit Truck Overturns Friday Near Treasureton
Wayne Hayball of Logan drove a Pacific Fruit truck that overturned on Highway 34 near the Gene Paskins ranch at Treasureton after braking to avoid cattle. The vehicle rolled about 200 feet along the shoulder and settled on its top in a borrow pit. Hayball and helper George Hugie escaped with only superficial injuries. the truck and fruit cargo were severely damaged.
