Dayton ward members held a Sunday program with Glen Bingham conducting and a theme for the year introduced. Visitors included Dayton residents and relatives from Weston Salt Lake City Long Beach Ogden and Brigham City. A Sunday School inquiry meeting and a Friday evening dance were announced with several locals attending and nephews and cousins noted in arrivals.

Mound Valley girls of the X-Cello Club earned top ribbons in Sewing Nutrition Canning and Victory Garden at Hot Springs fair. Joelene Jensen Gwen Bennett Roma Lee McGregor Barbara McGregor Alice Adams Virginia Adams Alic Adams and Florence Harris won blue ribbons in Style Dress Revue and Kraft Cheese Dairy Demonstration. Four girls qualified for the Blackfoot fair September 12. Outstanding county girls were Barbara McGregor Virginia Adams and Alice Adams with cash prizes. Kiwanis Cup awarded to X-Cello Nutrition. A post event banquet will be held in Pocatello.

4-H Club Girls Receive Awards At Lava Fair
The Busy Bakers club girls from Cleveland led by Alice Adams attended the 4-H club fair in Lava on September 1 and 2. They are first year Nutrition project beginners and won several honors including Dorothy Ann Burton in the Record and Story contest and a high scoring judging team with Joan Adams first Beatrice Anderson second Colleen Jensen third. Verna Hendrickson received most outstanding health club honors with a roving cup. The group awaits the Blackfoot Fair to compete and Grace High School begins September 11 with an orientation at 9:00 a.m.
