Franklin families mourn two deaths in Ogden crash
In Ogden a Franklin family tragedy leaves Mrs. Darlene Naef 18 and her mother in law Mrs. Ella Naef killed after a 23rd Street collision with Harrison Boulevard. Farold Naef remains critical, Douglas Naef injured, and driver Belvey Fox of Ogden is listed in fair condition. The crash occurred about 4 PM when Naef failed to stop at a sign.

Henry Drury and Sons prize-winning Holsteins dominated the Pan American Holstein show linked to the Texas State Fair in Dallas on October 14. Colad Hanna DeKol placed second for bull calf born between July 1, 1951, and February 29, 1952, while Drury Lane Cola Uniform was runner-up for the two year old class and won reserve senior and reserve grand championships. Cola Greta Hanna finished tenth for three year old cow born between July 1, 1948, and June 30, 1949.
