Jean Smith Leads Far East Wheat Observation Tour
Franklin County farmer Jean Smith of Riverdale will join a five man Western Wheat Associates team on a month long mission to the Far East. The Idaho Wheat Commission chair travels with team members from Washington Nebraska Oklahoma and the U S to observe storage milling and use of wheat by Asian customers. The trip runs from Washington DC to London New Delhi Bangkok Singapore Jakarta Manila Hong Kong Taipei Seoul Osaka Tokyo and back to San Francisco December 2 with aim to deepen trade relations and study export markets.

Public hearing on abandoning State Highway 34 in Idaho
A public hearing is set in the District Courtroom of the Franklin County Courthouse next Wednesday at 7 30 p m concerning abandoning Highway 34 from the state line to Highway 91.
