Relief Society open social honors visiting teachers
The Relief Society held an openings social on Tuesday September 30 with Pres Opal Parkinson in charge. Corsages were given to each teacher as a welcome. A varied program included music readings and talks. A 90-place center gift lunch followed and a wind-up noted retiring officers. A baby girl born September 28 at Preston hospital was welcomed, and a fur breeder meeting in Salt Lake City drew several attendees. Franklin teachers attended a convention in Pocatello and beet vacation school was announced.
