Franklin County Idaho Board of Commissioners met October 12 1964 with Chairman Schwaneveldt Commissioners Thedford Roper and Poole present. Mapleton resident George Porter discussed his road. Addressograph installation discussed with Treasurer Sylvia Schwaneveldt. Treasurer reported 238688.31 cash on hand. Auditors rep advised surety of 677000. Weston Canyon Road bid approved 109046.65 plus 10 percent state charge to 119951.32. Frank Foss and H R Bingham reappointed to Franklin County General Memorial Hospital Board. Parking space rental dispute with Lawrence Jones discussed and resolved no rental. DOPA Direct Relief payments authorized by Auditor. Highways Dept notified of PAS Route 1736 extension 92 miles from FA Route 49 toward Whitney to Cache National Forest Boundary.

The Cleveland ward Relief Society bazaar at the church building drew a large crowd on Friday night. A turkey supper was served at 8 pm and many bought handwork items including quilts rugs candy and popcorn plus white elephant articles. Elder Dwain Christensen of Grace returned from the Northern States mission.
