Preston FFA members entered livestock in the Ogden Fat Stock show. Gordon Seamons exhibited 21 hogs winning 3 prime 13 choice and fine ribbons. Alma Swann had 4 hogs all placing choice. Seth Swann showed 4 hogs with 3 choice. DeVon Kofoed had a fat Hampshire lamb trading choice. Wack Nash entered 4 grade Hampshire lambs. Roland Carter showed a fat steer graded good and a Hereford bull sold in the sale. All earned good prices and profits amid the current market.

The state highway department postponed oiling of the road to Treasureton due to persistent bad weather. Oil is earmarked and will be available in spring when conditions permit. Beet and Spud Harvest Finishes in Franklin County
Franklin county reports the spud and beet crops valued over a million and a quarter dollars harvested. Beets were last cleared Thursday, with sugar factory work due to finish by December 38. October beets paid about 454,000 dollars, with November beets near 200,000 forthcoming after records compile.
