Antelope Herding Plan Moves Animals to New Range
Idaho game department traps and moves antelope by air and ground to lower Owyhee County planting sites. In 1946 the effort moved 152 animals and 130 more were added in spring 1948 to bolster a new herd. Traps are portable with net interiors to prevent injury. Biologists warn antelope are nervous and can run over 50 mph when pursued.
