Land Bank Loans Cut Rates Across Northwest
Clifford Warr announces a May 1 rate drop on Land Bank loans from 5 to 4 1/2 percent for Idaho and four northwest states. The Spokane Federal Land Bank holds over 16 million in outstanding loans and seven million in pending loans to be adjusted, saving farmers and ranchers more than 110000 annually. Warr says reductions follow Land Bank policy to extend credits at lowest safe cost and reflect favorable bond markets and economies of scale. The Idaho Pioneer association originates and services these loans for the Federal Land Bank of Spokane.
