Jimmy Lake Fishing Open Through April 30
The state fish and game department announced in Challis that Jimmy Smith lake in Custer county will keep its unusual fishing season open until April 30 this spring. The normal close is March 31 as trout there are not palatable in summer, so anglers fish in winter. An extended season was approved after a conservation survey, with an emergency order keeping the period extended into 1947.
