The Franklin County Idaho Board of Commissioners met February 27 1961 and approved Leslie L Dunkley for Road Supervisor at 360 dollars per month starting March 1 1961 The board directed the auditor to add him to payroll and continue payments until further notice The board also denied Jim Ward tax adjustment for the Grand Theater for 1960 and set remittance rules for Justice of the Peace fees with three monthly remittance on the second Monday provided reports are filed Regular remittance remains quarterly unless specified
The Oneida stake Sweetheart Ball took place Saturday at the Preston stake house with a dance band from Preston High School. Guests included Carolyn Howell of Clifter and the families of Bart Paskins and Raymond Sant, with talks by Gwen Lyon and ReNee Lyon and a sacrament gem by Kent Porter. A farewell testimonial honored Woodrow Weyerman with remarks from Nolan Olsen, Wilford Bosworth, and others, plus a vocal duet by Mrs. Maxine Hymas and Mrs. Leone Kirby with Judy Hymas at the piano.
