Grassman of the Year changes at Franklin county dairy farm

Leonard J Christensen operates a Bear River area dairy farm of 218 acres near the Idaho Utah border. The farm features 18 cows and 130 Holstein cattle plus improvements from 1965 to 1970 including a Grade A barn, concrete ditching, drainage, a portable sprinkler system, and a 1969 home. Milk production rose to about 3700 pounds daily with 1970 fat 593 and 15,600 milk.

Fine Arts Meet Forming in Franklin County

An organization to promote fine arts in Franklin County forms June 23 at 8 30 pm in the Preston music room. Idaho Commission of Arts and Humanities funds support programs including the musical Annie Get Your Gun set for August 1 and 14. Richard Haslem will direct the production with community adults and youths as leaders.
