Horse Clinic Held In Preston Offers Lameness Insight
The third annual University of Idaho Horsemans Clinic was held at the Cache Valley Livestock Auction in Preston on May 28. Attendees included horsemen and 4H members from southeastern Idaho. Ed Duren said the focus was care of feet and legs, noting the foot is a key site of incurable lameness and front legs account for most race-horse lameness. Major George R. Henderson added many trainers misdiagnose lameness in the shoulder.
