First irrigation demonstration in Franklin county set for June 30
George Crockett of Whitney announced the first irrigation demonstration in Franklin county will be held at the A C Hull farm east of Whitney schoolhouse on June 20 and 30. The event, a joint project of the county agent’s office the University of Idaho extension service and the U S Soil Conservation Service, will include Wayne Criddle of Boise and Ray Petersen. Farmers and interested persons are invited to observe the setup on June 29 with the demonstration starting Friday at 1 30 p m to show proper irrigation water application and modern devices to control stream flow split water and prevent erosion.

The award funds $100 cash and tuition support at the University of Idaho for Idaho studies as he pursues Future Farmers of America projects.
