May Not Favorable To Idaho Crops
Boise June 15 May was not too favorable for crop development in Idaho though most crops showed improvement by month’s end. Precipitation ran 72 percent of normal with Southeast at 94 and North and Southwest at 64 and 62 percent. Late rains eased moisture in nearly all parts. May 22 freezing temperatures caused considerable damage to fruits and some vegetables in Southwestern Idaho.

Japan to Move Allied Relief Supplies Through Vladivostok
The American Red Cross reports Japan agreed to call for relief supplies shipped to Vladivostok last fall and arrange future shipments. Soviet leadership offered pickup sites near Vladivostok or across the border by rail, with mail for Allied Nationals interned in the Far East to follow. About $2.5 million in relief goods, mainly food medicine and clothing, are stored in Vladivostok warehouses awaiting transit to POWs and civilian internees.
