FHA Loans Here Total $141 640 in Franklin Bear Lake Oneida Counties
Farmers in Franklin Bear Lake and Oneida counties obtained loans totaling 141,640 dollars through the Farmers Home Administration during the year ending June 30, 1956. Webster C. Maughan, the agency county supervisor, said repayments on outstanding loans for the year totaled 118,140.31 dollars. The agency provides credit for feed, seed, fertilizer, equipment, livestock, and other farm needs and funds soil and water conservation. The local committee approves each loan before funds are advanced, certifies farm value, and recommends loan actions. Eligibility requires insufficient credit from other lenders and prospects to improve farming and repay. Families are expected to refinance with other lenders when possible.
