The new First Security Bank opened with an open house last weekend drawing more than 1500 attendees. VIPs included James Jr and other bank leaders from Salt Lake, Mayor Gamble, and bank officials. A TV set prize went to Pam Nilson who nearly guessed the cash in a glass ball.

Labor Plan Gets Oked For Counties
Congressman Orval Hansen announced four southeastern Idaho counties join a Department of Labor program delivering manpower services to rural poor. Boundary County and a $112 901 contract with the Idaho Department of Employment support the effort using Agricultural Extension Service offices to reach residents. The pilot, named Operation Hitch hike, aims to provide job counseling training and related services with expansion possible if successful.
