Notable Battle Hero: Pvt Van Noy in Courageous Last Stand

In a sunlit beach action near the Song River Pvt. Van Noy held a machine gun pit under heavy fire. He was killed by a grenade and rifle shot after single‑handedly repelling multiple barges with American and Australian support.
