Feeding Situation in Cattle Operations Forecast for 1945-46
Developments in November indicate cattle fed during the 1945-46 winter will exceed 1944-45 in nearly all corn belt states and many key feeding areas outside the belt. The total may approach a record with more short fed cattle than any prior year, and in Kansas, grain sorghums and bundle feed shortfalls may reduce feeding in the western half.
