Born to Henry Daniel and Sarah Ellen Hibbert Auger in Glendale, he taught at Glendale school, ran threshing engine, served in WWI, married Emma Housley in 1917, and held multiple church roles including two terms as bishop. He worked for USDA agencies and served as trustee and director in regional farming groups. Eight children, many descendants, and temple officiant since 1956.
