Soil Conservation District Prepares For Annual Meeting
The 1963 Franklin Soil Conservation District annual meeting is set for 1:30 pm on Wednesday February 13 in the Franklin County courthouse assembly room. Chairman Stanton M Hawkes urged farmers and ranchers to attend as Idaho State Conservationist Lee YT Morgan will discuss county wide conservation programs and Morian Nelson will address water outlook and management for Franklin County. A district report on accomplishments and 1963 farm management services will be presented by a district supervisor.

Sheriff’s Posse Holds Annual Barrier in Preston
MINK CREEK The Sheriff’s Posse held its annual banquet in Preston Friday night. Mrs. Marjorie Keller gave two readings and Fred Gregersen and Dweht Wilde, president, showed slides and pictures of rides during the past year. Those present from Mink Creek included Mr. and Mrs. Vilarr Ransom, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Fay Wilde, Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Wilde, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Keller, Mr. and Mrs. Harley Jepsen and special guests, Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Keller.

About 100 cattlemen from Bear Lake Caribou and Franklin counties attended the tri county Beef Production School held in Soda Springs. Ed Duren outlined the Idaho Performance testing program for beef herds and its value to commercial cow calf operations. Nels Hogan former Idaho Cattlemen's Association president praised university cooperation. A cooperative study on calf scours involving Bear Lake county was noted.
