The US Department of Agriculture announces termination of REAP and Water Bank Program funding. The review aims to cut low priority federal programs as 1973 outlays target $250 billion. Commitments will be honored through Dec 22, 1972, with no new cost-sharing or water bank contracts approved after that date.
The 1973 Idaho Department of Highways construction program names one project for Franklin County, widening and paving 45 miles of Mink Creek road. A second project in Caribou County covers work on the Bear River bridge at Grace.
