Christmas Encounter on a Smoky Christmas Eve
Jack Ward hides from railroad cops after a heist across tracks on Christmas Eve. He finds refuge at the Truck Stop Cafe where a wary trucker and a bearded waiter interact amid conversation about a boy named Jack Smith. The trucker plans to pick up the boy and drive him toward Taylorsville, while one man orders a cigarette run and hints at alerting authorities to a missing 15-year-old.
