Utah Power Awards Merit for 54 300 Man Hours
The Utah Power and Light safety certification of merit banquet was held at the Elks Lodge. The Preston district received the certificate for 54 300 man hours of operation without a loss time injury from 1964 to 1972. Jack Eliason led the meeting with Burton Martin as speaker. Robert Whitehead accepted the award for the Preston division. About 70 people and guests attended the dinner.

Cub Scouts Hold December Pack Meeting at Grace Junior High
Cub Pack 382 met at Grace Junior High School for its regular meeting led by Cub master Terry Smith who awarded Clay Wilker a Wolf badge Todd Jensen a gold arrow Clint ne Ward a silver and gold arrow and Jimmy Murdoch two silver arrows. Clay and Todd came from Den 1 while Clinton and Jimmy came from Den 3. Juanita McCurdy led Christmas carols and Margaret Strong told a Christmas story. Refreshments followed served to all attendees.

Dinner featured a Christmas centerpiece and Mrs Acock and Ora Greaves won the two prizes. Mrs Carol Condie hosted a club Monday with Ellen Greaves Merle Bright Dorothy Johnson Ora Greaves Lavinia Cutler Phyl lis Evans Doris Butters and Ruth Weber. dinner was served and each place held a Christmas favor.
