John A. Anderson 67 of Ogden died when a Ford Falcon collided with a southbound freight train on Twin Lakes road at 8:45 am. His wife Viola 67 was injured. engineer was G C Perkins of Salt Lake City. Anderson was en route to Preston to obtain a boat license.

Elvin J. Cutler 64 of Preston died at Preston hospital Wednesday morning. He taught in MacKay and Preston for decades and led as American Government and American problems teacher. He served as county Republican chairman and headed local clubs. Survived by widow, son Elvin J. Cutler of Burley, three grandchildren, and several siblings. Funeral Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Orelda Stake center. burial in Preston Cemetery.
