Lightening Strikes Twice In Banida
Lightning hit fields near Banida twice this week. A blaze north of the Thomas Cattani home burned part of a summer grain field but was fought by neighbors and a Preston fire crew. A second fire on the LaMor Cole farm hillside burned grass and sagebrush but caused little damage due to quick action and shifting winds. Neighbors used tractors shovels and sacks to aid extinguishment. Local residents visiting Banida during the weekend included Eva Nance LeRoy Cole and families from Sands Idaho Falls Boise Meridian and Burley.
