Garis' Softball Team plans another season with a meeting set for next Monday at 6 PM in the high school stadium. Don Redfield of M H King Store leads the organizing effort and asks interested players to bring gloves or mitts. The local girls team placed third in the Logan league and aims to play in Logan twice weekly this season.
Ronkovich and Perkins lead a 30 bout boxing card at the Logan Armory next Monday night. Opening bout features Paul Perkins of Salt Lake against Frank Ronkeevich of Tooele for eight rounds, with other six and four round bouts including Garth Panter of Dayton versus Jess, Kid Blair of Salt Lake versus Lyman Holloway of Twin Falls, and Little Joe Louis of Denver also on the card. Mr and Mrs T C Merrill return from a two week California vacation in Burbank visiting their son Cleve.
Fairview and surrounding areas report social visits and family gatherings. Local residents attended birthdays, clubs met for Friday sewing and luncheon, and relatives traveled between Ogden Richmond Holbrook Cove Preston and Salt Lake City for events. A MIA speech festival was held with youth leaders guiding activities.
Seven ewes produced 22 lambs at the Earl Mc Willis ranch north of Shoshone. Some ewes bore triplets and one ewe delivered quadruplets.
