A busy Clifton diary records births including Ronald and Mary Rice’s baby boy born April 10 at a maternity home and homecoming last Friday. Family visits, engagements, weddings, Easter programs, and visitors from Logan Ogden Preston and Dayton fill the week with community life.
Mapleton residents share Easter visits with the Stones and Winns. Clyde Taylor and family from Winder call on friends nearby. Roberta and Sierra Sharp return from Salt Lake City to spend Easter with Elmer and family. Dale Dursteler, after over three years in the army, is honorably discharged and back with his parents. Joseph H Stone visits Reuben Coombs of Thatcher. The closing Mutual social is set for April 30. Mary Millibauer has been in Salt Lake City recently. Chicken coop lining cardboard sheets are offered by The Citizen at 40c per dozen.
The Riverdale Elders Class led the sacrament meeting Sunday evening with speakers Max Swenson Eldred Edwards Mrs Dwain Tate and Mrs Ray Barrington. Musical numbers included duets and solos by local members and accompanists. A large crowd attended and enjoyed the program. Those who joined the Temple excursion in Logan on Wednesday were Mr and Mrs LeRoy Edwards and son Eldred Taylor Nelson Mr Evans and Mrs Lewis Barrington.
