The Preston merchants committee staged a large Easter egg hunt with over 2000 youngsters ages 1 to 12. About 1200 eggs and 1200 pieces of candy were hidden in the city park. One hundred winning tickets secured special prizes. The event took place last Saturday.
A new facility at the northwest corner of the park will house the night rodeo with updated corrals, swinging doors, peeled poles, and salvaged lumber. Bleachers will add 500 seats and improve arena views, with permanent grounds saving annual costs. project approved by city leaders and chamber of commerce alongside the mayor and council.
C A Mally announces Utah Idaho Central Rail road and Bamberger rail road will run a through Diesel bus from Preston to Salt Lake starting May 1. Daily except Sundays and holidays it runs to Ogden only on those days.
The new time card shows two electric train schedules and four bus schedules daily between Ogden and Preston with through bus connections at 5:00 p m and links at Ogden to and from Salt Lake via the Bamberger railroad.
