High School Expansion Progress Faces Funding Delays
Construction on the new high school and related vocational additions progresses though weather slows site work. The auto mechanics building will total about 5 600 square feet and the agriculture building adds 2 400 square feet for six more buses. Howard Schow of Preston is the contractor for the vocational building, Williams and Anderson of Idaho Falls for the high school addition. The project includes a two teacher homemaking wing, dining facilities, library on the first floor, a gym with rollaway bleachers for 2 000 spectators, and future music art and classroom spaces across two floors. The bond election funding stalls the agricultural addition, delaying completion.

John Card Greaves Dies at 77 in Ogden Utah
John Card Greaves 77 of 242 23rd Street Ogden died Friday morning at home after a short illness. He was born August 29 1877 in Logan son of John C and Althea Card Greaves. He married Gracie Davis in 1898 then Mamie Pendleton in 1916 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. He lived in Grace Preston and Ogden and served on Preston and Grace city councils and the Grace Lions Club. Survivors include his wives, several children and many grandchildren. Burial in Preston city cemetery by Webb Mortuary services held Monday at 2 pm at the Preston LDS 7th Sword chapel.
