State Farmer and UP Award Honor County Students
Scott Mitton of Whitney won the State Farmer degree at the State FFA convention in Meridian, receiving the Union Pacific sword as one of 64 honorees. Max Gilbert of Fairview won the Union Pacific Scholarship and plans to study agriculture management at Utah State University. Jim Gilbert of Preston was also recognized for FFA and community work.
