Johnson Motors unveils 1964 outboard lineup changes
Johnson Motors previewed the 1964 line at Long Beach with three new high efficiency engines the V 90 Meteor V 601 and a compact 914 1 horsepower model plus a shift to a 60 to 1 gasoline oil ratio and a suitcase style carrying handle for the engines. The rollout featured improved idle smoothness fuel economy and a redesigned induction system aimed at shore to sea use and shallow water performance.
