Brown leads in California polls for presidential bid
Manatt reported that Brown would enjoy strong support as a presidential favorite son in California with about 75 percent favorable ratings from voters and only 7 percent negative. Polls also show Brown ahead of all other contenders except Edward Kennedy, who has stated he will not run. Brown could run as a favorite son by leading an uncommitted delegation or as a candidate.
