Chaplin injunction over rejuvenation brochure in Nice court
In Nice France a court ordered seizure of all copies of a brochure claiming Charlie Chaplin had undergone rejuvenation treatment. Judge Gilbert Dubois required 600 francs to prove solvency. Chaplin denied any such treatment and was not present at the hearing. The brochure, published by Robert Wiard of a Nice clinic, credited Swiss doctor Paul Niehans.
