Thurber on Broadway Debuts in A Thurber Carnival
New York UPI reports James Tauber debuted Broadway in A Thurber Carnival playing himself and rewriting parts on stage. He sat by a white leather chair dictating letters to his secretary as publishers flooded him with hundreds of mixed up copies of Grandma Was a Nudist and None of Which I Ordered. The audience erupted in applause as Thurber added a few jokes, with director Bar-Beas Meredith saying he was wonderful.
