Kissinger Rabin talks hailed by Israeli leader in Washington
Israeli Prime Minister Rabin said meetings with Secretary Kissinger convinced him U.S. support would be translated into deeds and discussed a $1.5 billion five year military aid plan, new U.S. weapons, and rapid tank deliveries. Javits said aid would be substantial though not all Rabin wants. Separately, four Soviet ships near Hawaii were observed by the U.S. Pacific Fleet, including a Borograf spy trawler and a Kynda cruiser.
