Water thief hauled in after hydrant haul in California
Woodland Hills police nabbed Dale Allen Alton, 30, for allegedly stealing about 25,000 gallons of water from a fire hydrant. He allegedly moved water in 2,500 gallon loads to Malibu Lakeside Mutual Water Co selling tanks for 20 dollars each, making about ten trips before arrest. Alton, from Sylmar, posted bail and was jailed on misdemeanor water theft charges.
