Anti U S firebombings strike Yank vehicles in Saigon
In Saigon a wave of firebombings targeted U S and South Korean cars four days after a radical student group warned of more antigovernment violence. Two U S Navy vehicles a pickup and a Jeep were burned near the Navy headquarters with no injuries. A South Korean vehicle was also hit. The unattended Navy vehicles were torched by riders on motorbikes. A sentry saw no suspects. A gasoline container was allegedly tossed into the Navy pickup. An explosion was heard by some residents but no visible assailants were seen.
