Denied by Mother Yanks in China Say PW Was CIA Man
Five U S students visiting Peiping prisons report that Richard Fecteau and John Downey claimed ties to the CIA. Reuters says Fecteau, Downey, civilian Army employees, disappeared in 1952 after alleged wartime missions. Communists say they were shot down over Manchuria. U S denies. Visitors signed a joint statement, could not ask about trials, and were not allowed notes.
