Bills end retiring by age in California
The California Legislature declared mandatory age based retirement obsolete and cruel, sending two Alatorre bills to Gov Brown for public and private sector reform. If signed, most public employees and many private workers would be protected from forced retirement after set birthdays, with a process to challenge competency.
