Ted Ayakian runs Rubaiyat Restaurant in Downey hosting Lori the belly dancer Sundays 8 PM to midnight with oud and goatskin drum music by Nlussay Ziam and Yahya Jassim. Dinner is 11 courses from 6 PM nightly, $7.50 per person, reservations optional. Villa Rey Smorgasbord nearby offers Swedish salads and a Swedish dessert at $1.95 with Wednesday prime rib special.
