Doctor says fats may prolong life in surprising study
Dr Ted C Huang an Ohio veterinary medicine expert told reporters at an American Chemical Society meeting that cholesterol and saturated fats might extend life rather than shorten it. He cited rat experiments suggesting unsaturated fats shorten life while cholesterol to some saturated fat helps growth and infection resistance. He noted men may gain life length with cholesterol supplementation, and that seven eggs a week could be safe, challenging prior limits.
